Does anyone know any good apartments in Tallahassee, FL?
I am a college student looking for an apartment in Tallahassee, Florida near Florida State University. I don't really know the area so I'm having a hard time finding a good place. I want something in a safe area and within a reasonable distance to FSU, walking distance would be great but not necessary. Not too expensive either. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great!

Is there a county hospital there that has a program for low income patients? You could try going to an emergency room. Call your nearest county health department and ask them. Or talk to a social worker at the hospital. I'm sure there's help but you have to ask.

Don't buy from a breeder or pet store, unless you care about making them wealthier than they are off the animals. There's tons of Doberman rescues.

A poorly bred Dobe can have multiple health problems as well. My dobe pup was $1,000 for the pet pups but both parents are OFA'd hips and elbows, VonW cleared(a bleeding disorder), and the sire is Cardiac and eye cert. plus the sire is a multi BIS International Ch. who was temperament tested. My pup is a healthy dog and should be long lived. He has a great temperament and gets along with his 4 minpin and 1 lab housemates.

How long does it take to fly from Tallahassee to China?
Chicago to Beijing I flew last year took 12 hrs 20 min. Flew over north pole and down over Siberia to Beijing. Return was similar. Beijing is in the north though.
LA to Guangzhou took a more southerly route just south of the Aleutians and curved downward to the south of China between Japan and China and the flight took 14 hrs. 30 min. Return was approx. 2 hours less, flying with the current.
My recent trip was Chicago to Hong Kong and that took a little over 14 hrs. The route was over the Aleutians and then downward and flew over the islands of Japan. Return was 2 hours shorter.

I am going to eat with my husband for our anniversary and we just moved to Tallahassee and we are looking for a nice place to eat. Ive been to places like Red Lobster, AppleBees, Cheddars, Ruby Tuesday, Is there anything anyone could suggest because those are our last resorts. If so, what do you like there? There are a variety of options, depending on what you're looking for. There are two very good, but very different, French restaurants in town, Chez Pierre and Alberts. Chez Pierre is the less expensive of the two and my personal favorite- because of the great atmosphere (it's an old historic home in the midtown area, so nice). Alberts' is delicious, but doesn't have the atmosphere to me. Bonefish is always good, but it's a chain, so you may have been there before. If you prefer a good steak, Marie Livingston's out near I-10 and Hwy 27N is IMO the best steak in town, and it's pretty if you sit in the area with the vaulted ceilings. We really like Harry's downtown in Kleman Plaza as well. Good seafood, but lots of other choices- it has a New Orleans flair and is super fun! Good Luck!

We are pretty sure my son has ADHD and really have come to the point that we think medication would be the best option. We worked with his teacher all of last year and this year and things are getting worse. We live in Tallahassee, Florida and have no insurance and we have a low income. We do not qualify for medicaid because we "make to much". After we pay our bills there is just nothing left. Is there anywhere here in Tally or close by that would offer assistance in getting my son tested and put on medication? I would really like to get this problem resolved before he is moved to an ESE class at school. He is in 1st grade and has already been moved to a new class because of the over flow of 1st grade students and I don't want to have to move him a third time this year. I am looking into moving to Tallahassee Florida, and want to know which part to move around to stay away from all the college students and dorms. Yes I will be going to college but doing online classes, not actually going to the campus. I want to be somewhere away from that, and is a safe neighborhood for when I start my family. I was turning left at an intersection and left the intersection when the light was yellow, when I was in the center of the intersection, the light turned red and I saw a red light camera flash. Whether someone was behind me at the time, I don't know, because if that were the case, itd be flashing at them. I'm not even sure if i got a ticket to begin with, I just want to cover my bases.

I went to SPC (St. Petersburg College, previously St. Petersburg Junior College) and then "transferred" to UCF. Admittedly, I applied as a freshman because I went to CC through dual-enrollment, but I have a friend who was actually a transfer student. You can definitely transfer, and since it's in state, your credits will probably all be accepted.

We are having aggression issues with our shelter dog. We desperately need to find a qualified, trustworthy dog trainer that will work with us to solve his increased aggression towards other dogs and children. wow, you have my deep empathy, my rescue was ppl aggressive (is cured, is now a therapy dog for nursing homes) and also dog-aggressive. Still IS dog aggressive, but, is much better, but, he'll never ever be "right" about other dogs.

"Calming signals" by Turgid Rugass, is the best.
Also, look at "Bringing Light to Shadow", "the other end of the leash" and "Click to calm".
I've tried evvvvvvverything. I gotta admit, having all "nice" dogs before, i never ever HAD TO learn the things i've learned since i fell in love with my lil gangsta. It is an ongoing process, and i experience such a thrill when i can get him to pass by other dogs while being calm. My heart wants to pop, looks like ordinary moment to anyone else, but to me, is like we just climbed a mountain.
The thing that has helped my dog MOST, is learning and using calming signals, and following Kikopup's youtube videos.
I taught Buddy the cue "look at me" and when he does, i yawn at hm, and slowly blink. He understands, and often (not always, but often) calms down. what a thrill, then is hard for ME to stay calm, ha ha.
I must must must do this in earliest stages of his reaction, it is pretty useless once he is in full blown imitation of a breeching whale...
but, that has helped my gangsta more than anything else i've tried.
oF course, each dog is different, but, i wasted an entire YEAR on trying this "distraction/focus on me" routine that is wildly popular to try on D.A.ds. (dog-aggressive dogs). Our dogs sound VERY similar. Our guy can also be people aggressive if very stressed. Only on one occasion has he "snapped" giving a warning bite (no broken skin) to my nephew who is three years old. We are now with a CPDT in Tallahassee, but do you have videos on people aggression to suggest?

Why does the temperature in Tallahassee, Fl drops more drastically than other cities?
they may have a high of 80 degrees this afternoon, but the following morning a low of 35.
it also drops further down at night than cities more north than it. like this city may get a freeze before atlanta or memphis?

I'm not sure. I cannot say I have noticed this effect. The air would pretty much have to be colder to the north as it would be modified as the air moved further south. I can see where strong cold front would result in large temperature swings but not such that Tallahassee would colder than Memphis or Atlanta except on rare instances.

I don't know about gainsville but I do live in tallahassee. I moved here from ohio becuase my boyfriend is going to fsu. It is a very big college town and the whole town revolves around it. The city is very beautiful. The downside to tallahassee I would say is there is really nothing outside of the city

The school system is not that great but we do have a couple good schools but they cost some money to go there. I feel for adults this is a great place to live but after living here I wouldn't raise my children here because there is nothing to do here and all the kids get in to trobule. 40% of people who live in Tally are state employees. I use to be one. I now live in wakulla county south of Tally and closer to the coast. We moved because the cost of news homes were cheaper and school systems are great and rated much higher than Leon county. Wakulla county is 20 minutes from leon so we are very close to go to the stores, doctors, etc. I would reccomend that you come for a visit a few times and check it out and see if you like it.

For educational purposes, we have Barry University School of Adult and Continuing Education; Flagler College-Tallahassee Campus; Florida A%26amp;M University; Florida State University; Keiser University; Lewis M. Lively Area Vocational-Technical School; and Tallahassee Community College.
Go online and look it up.

There are far nicer places in Florida than Tallahassee, even fairly close by.
Best avoided by tourists as it has nothing to offer them only some bad and very overpriced hotels.
Worse branded hotel I ever stayed in was in Tallahassee last year.
