In my humble opinion, there is no comparison...To put it simply, Austin offers an excellent quality of life. As far as I am concerned, in the United States, this is one of the best places to be for the next several years or even several decades.
Austin is an up-and-coming city. The regional economy is in a significant growth phase, and depending on your area of expertise, there are numerous opportunities for employment. Major corporations in sectors such as tech, financial services, and biotech are locating regional offices and even headquarters here. Other sectors are also benefiting from this trend. At the same time, real estate is still quite affordable relative to other urban centers; though, Austin seems to be somewhat insulated from the national slump in the real estate market - indicating the relative strength of the local economy.
Culturally, Austin has much to offer, in particular, an excellent live-music scene (which is currently being celebrated - search SXSW). There are a great many young people here pursuing all sorts of interests. You will probably have no problem finding a vibrant community of like-minded people, no matter what your background is.
austanAustin or Tallahassee - which one should i pick?
I'm from florida, and I prefer it to Texas, but I prefer Austin to Tallahassee.
So, go to Austin
I live half way between both cities. I've been to both.
Austin is more modern, and one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S.
Austin would be a better choice for you.
