How did Tallahassee get its name?

Tallahassee: City in Florida, so named because it is supposed to have been the site of Indian cornfields in remote times. An Indian word meaning "old town."How did Tallahassee get its name?
From, "talwahasi", talwa means town, hasi means old.

Tallahassee was founded by "Don Bernstein" pastor of the first Presbyterian church of Gonads in November of 1774.How did Tallahassee get its name?
